Hi Jason, for some reason even after following all your steps when I run the Magic Sand app it says that Kinect sensor isn't recognized. I've tried this with 3 separate 1414 model sensors. I've also tried using these files both on Windows 7 and 10 and it seems to behave exactly the same no matter which drivers I'm installing. Any ideas? Thanks for your time!

I had a 2003 Impala LS, and a 2005 base model. I kept up on the maintenance. Both were serviced regularly and the factory maintenance schedule was followed. Both cars had transmission problems, and had to have a new transmission installed by 70,000 miles. Both had to have ABS Tractiion Control Modules replaced by 70,000 miles. Both had poorly designed rack and pinion steering gear leaks, and a steering rack would leak by 20,000 miles. Both had tires that would need replacing every 25,000 miles. I had both engines, and they had to have intake, and head gaskets replaced by 70,000 miles. Both cars were not reliable, and were money pits. Even when following the maintence schedule they still fell apart. The rack and pinion steering racks were poorly designed, and belonged in a smaller car. The engines were too powerful for the transmission to handle. The GM dealers service departments near me said the transmissions, and steering racks were regular service items, and replacements were necessary on these cars. GM could have done better on these 2000 through 2005 Impala's.

This is a great buy at $3000! All you need is a 1979 425 ci Cadillac engine or a 68, 69 or 1970 Oldsmobile 455 engine with 360 hp.

i love the ender 2 pro, having used cr 10 for 8 years, and used makerbot and other brands. the ender 2 pro rocks, i did bought it in mainland china for around 96usd (699RMB) with 1kg fillament included, i would gladly buy 6 of these over a CR10, certainly 10 of these over a prusa

Thank you so much for this short and clear explanation! After trying several ways, videos (and SDKs), a lot of re-installing, ending up desperately reading about incompatible USB chipsets on some devices...it was indeed Kinect SDK 1.7, that helped me out here! :D Still some dlls missing, that the "Magic Sand" App was crying for. A new PC with Intel UHD chipset, running Windows 11 Pro, is now ready to run "Magic Sand". =)

FYI, the supercharged 3.8 is just as reliable as the NA 3.8. Both are easy 200k to 300k and more capable without major maintenance. FE is not that different either. My 00 GTP supercharged averaged mid 20s and got around 32 on the hwy. the biggest difference is the gas grade which was a lot more palatable when there was only a 10 cent difference between grades. Also, synthetic oil is not required on the SC 3.8, but why would one not use synthetic on whatever they own? Back in 2029, even with the mileage difference, the much rarer, higher contented, more powerful, much better performance SS is easily the better buy for what you get.

What kinect does work with this project the original 1414 or the 1473?

I’ll take the SS I like extra hp power and the styling over the LS. There both good cars both have good motors but the SS is just my preference

The North Star, front drive Cadillac , the front drive engine is all aluminum, the motor overheated , & blew head gaskets , because the head bolts were to short. Faulty engineering. Kevin Phoenix 😮😢

Buy the one with the groove in the bearing. It keeps the filament from moving back and forward on the teeth, changing the amount of filament extruded each turn.

Just bought a used 2000 Impala LS w the 3800 motor for $900 120k miles

I had the first silver 2000 LS Trunk Monkey Edition in Honolulu. And I loved it. It was almost immaculate when I traded it in late 2005, with nice window tint, Optima Battery l, properly maintained with Mobil1 synthetic oil. I got a new black 2006 Impala SS, also the first one here. It was nice, especially with the Flowmaster Exhaust I had put in, but if I could get the 2000 back now in the condition I traded it in, I would be happy. I like the grill and the spoiler and the color on the SS, though. Either one is a good choice, depending on what your wants are. More reliability and longevity with the LS, or more sporty and performance with the SS with the caveat of the increased wear and tear and shortened longevity, or maintenance and repair costs.
